what I do
Decorius is a land art, event, and stage decoration project with over a decade of experience. I have worked on both large and small festivals, government events, and private commissions.
My creations range from land art installations, deeply influenced by my Gravity meditation stone works, to wood and straw sculptures, as well as event and stage decorations. Event decorations are often created in collaboration with other artists. My personal focus is on lighting, organic materials, and achieving a cohesive overall design, with a love for detail.

Landart & Sculptures
I was introduced to land art through my mum, but it was during my travels that I truly discovered it as the type of work I wanted to focus on. My first project was the Gaia Inukshuk series, which led to the discovery of rock balancing—or, let’s say, the realization that I could do it myself.
Later on, I shared my land art at festivals and was inspired to explore other materials, such as wood, clay, and more.
Organik Festival 2015
At Organik 2015, I quickly improvised a small side installation using rocks from the nearby beach. I also balanced a few rocks in a relatively simple way, which was necessary to ensure they could withstand the strong vibrations from the sound system.
BOOM Festival 2016
2016 was my first year at the legendary Boom Festival. I created a zen-stone garden with rock-balancing elements with a small team from Taiwan.
We successfully built a large, heart-shaped balancing arch, which, to my surprise, lasted throughout the entire festival.
BOOM Festival 2018
In 2018, I reworked Little Hampi—my favorite corner in Boom Land—giving the Pirate Cove a fresh look and completing the double stone spiral at the roundabout. It was intense labor under Portugal’s summer sun.
To set the right atmosphere at night, I designed a stellated dodecahedron lantern with an organic daytime look.
Wooden Talarurus
Build from recycled wood for the annual Fuli Rice Straw Art Festival in Loshan / Hualien / Taiwan.
The 2022 edition Rice Straw Art Festival had the theme “Dinosaur”. We build this Talarurus which ranked 3th in the competition.
Straw Octopus
Build from rice straw , straw rope and bamboo for the annual Fuli Rice Straw Art Festival in Loshan / Hualien / Taiwan.
The 2023 edition Rice Straw Art Festival had the theme “aquatic animals”. We build this peace loving octopus.
Straw Owl & Pinguin
Build from wood, bamboo and rice straw for the annual Fuli Rice Straw Art Festival in Loshan / Hualien / Taiwan.
The 2024 edition Rice Straw Art Festival had the theme “birds”. This year I created two entries. A owl and a Pinguin with offspring.

Event & Stage Decoration
Over the years, I have been involved in many events, including Earthfest Revolutions (Taiwan), Organik Festival (Taiwan), Secret Island Party (Hong Kong), Boom Festival (Portugal), Turtle Burn (Taiwan), Woohoo Festival (Taiwan), Being Festival (Portugal), Taitung Spirit Festival (Taiwan), and Wonky Forest (Taiwan). I continue to take part in many of these events, enriching them with my spirit.
Below are a few examples of past creations…
Earthfest 2015
For the Forest Stage of Earthfest 2015 we build this massive Rock-Man-Face like a traditional chinese lantern.
Stellated Dodecahedron
For Boom Festival 2018 I created this stellated dodecahedron lantern to enhance the rock installation and go with the flow of the light theme along Albert Hofmann Av. in Sacred Fire and Being Fields aria.
Taiwan Eclipse Gathering
While the world was in lockdown, Taiwan felt like a paradise. On top of that, we had an eclipse to celebrate. This small but beautiful stage was a great beach improvisation—truly a fantastic event!
Wonky Forest 2023
Its always a pleasure to enhance the Wonky Forest Gathering. The location it self is doing half the job. Since I start adding to the stage it was organic…
Boom Festival 2023
The backdrop for Pranashalla (Being Fields) was beside the Water Temple the main focus of creation for the 2023 edition of Boom Festival.
We also created the reception for the Lake Water Practice and other bamboo constructions in the Being Fields.
Wonky Forest 2024
That’s when we really tuck it to the next level. Up to today one of my favorite stages I designed. Also it was a great team which made it all happen!
Wonky Forest 2025
Once again we had a great team and the stage was simply amazing.
New addition was the Kinetic Sculpture enhanced by LED lights and video projection.
The diversity of plants used for the stage front was also riced to a new standard.

History
Decorius story began over a decade ago when I discovered Earthfest Revolutions, a Taiwanese music and art festival.
In truth, the journey started long before that, during my early days on this planet. I’ve always been passionate about enhancing the world around me with an eye for detail and a love for visual beauty.
Traveling the world became a major part of my life, with photography as my constant companion. Through it, I honed my understanding of perspective and light. It was during this endless adventure that I discovered my passion for land art, leading to projects like Gaia Inukshuk and Gravity Meditation.
As fate would have it, this journey eventually brought me to the stunning island of Formosa (Taiwan). Through my creations, I connected with local artists and creators who organize and decorate events. This was a new world for me, yet it felt like home. Many wonderful collaborations and unique creations blossomed from these connections.
In 2016, I knocked on the door of the legendary Boom Festival, and to my delight, they welcomed me and a small crew from Taiwan. I had known about this festival since the 1990s but had never had the opportunity to be a part of it. That all changed in July 2016, when the magic finally happened.
The experience was nothing short of overwhelming—mind-blowing, even! Witnessing so many incredible artists creating a wonderland of art and inspiration for humanity was unforgettable. I fell deeply in love with the community. A big shoutout to the BOOM family for making it all possible!
Since then, I’ve continued to work regularly alongside masters of event art. Back in Taiwan, my collaboration with a local artist and friend reached new heights. Plants and light, in particular, have become my favorite ingredients for crafting eye-catching creations.
